Maxxor runs an independent games studio that designs and operates hugely popular multiplayer online games for mobile phones and online social networks. Our games are designed to work across all major internet platforms including feature phones, smartphones, tablets and PC's, allowing our players to connect to their game world from wherever they are. This means we have an in-depth understanding of building applications on all of these platforms. The same skills that go into engineering our games allow us to build large-scale high-load enterprise applications for clients.

Our flagship game, Moonbase, is multi-player strategy game. Moonbase is hosted on a server cluster that: consisting of 50 CPU's, 300 GB's of RAM and 3 load balancers, generates 7,000 database calls per second at peak times, contains 150,000 lines of back-end processing code, contains 100,000 lines of front-end user interface code, processes 10,000,000 to 15,000,000 game actions / transactions every day, is a cross-platform game that runs on Facebook, on Mxit (Africa's largest mobile social network), on Mocospace (a US mobile social network), on Mig33 (a mostly Asian mobile social network), on an Android phone, on an iPhone or iPad and on the mobile web. This means we have an in-depth understanding of building applications on all of these platforms. The same skills that go into engineering the game allow us to build large-scale high-load enterprise applications.
