Enterprise Mail Hosting

Maxxor’s Enterprise Mail Hosting service is fully featured mail service for companies with heavy-duty mail requirements but who have limited email infrastructure.

Mail Delivery

Some types of internet connections make it difficult to run a dedicated mail server on your network:

• An internet connections that isn’t "always-on" eg. dial-up or ISDN.
• "Always-on" connections that do not have a static IP (most ADSL accounts)

With these connections, there are no guarantees that your mail server will be available and reachable when people and mail servers on the Internet want to send your users email.

To fix this problem, your corporate mail will be routed via our mail server. We will scan your emails for viruses and then route them to your own mail server. Your mail server will then store all your mailboxes and distribute the mail to the users on your network. Since you are running your own mail server, you can have an unlimited number of mailboxes at no extra cost. Sending mail is also done via your own server, so there is no charge. Your only charges are for the email traffic we collect and send to you.

Our mail servers will also serve as the backup server for your own mail server. If your Internet connection goes down or of your mail server suffers a failure, mail is delivered to our server and waits for your connection to come back up again. Since we in turn run multiple backup mail servers, you will achieve multiple levels of protection against email failure.

Mail Relaying

If you keep in touch with your clients via regular email newsletters, you can prevent congestion on your Internet line by using our mail servers to deliver the mass emails on your behalf. We will provide the configuration details that you will need to use on your messaging system.

Note: the bandwidth savings depend on the flexibility and feature-set of your messaging system.
