Mustapha - CEO
Mustapha, co-founder and present CEO of Maxxor, is a familiar figure in the Cape's ICT and New Media circles. As leader of the Maxxor team, Mustapha has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the company's operations. Mustapha has graduated from the University of Cape Town with both a Business Science degree in Finance as well as a Social Sciences degree in Psychology & Economics. He worked for a US multinational in the early days of the Internet in South Africa before leaving the corporate world to start Maxxor in 2004. Mustapha has served on the board of the Cape IT Initiative (CITi), a Section 21 company with a mission to stimulate and support the growth, promotion and transformation of the ICT cluster in the Western Cape.
Ever since he plugged in his first computer (a Commodore VIC-20) and wrote a Hello World app in GW-BASIC, Mustapha's been fascinated with computers and software coding. In the last 20 years he's been involved in building hundreds of software systems, websites, web applications and mobile applications.
You can find him hiking or running on Table Mountain most weekends. He thinks Cape Town is the most beautiful city in the world.
